*** Sarah Siskind's Say It Louder voted ***
Americana Album of the Year in the Nashville Music Awards!
"One of Bonnie Raitt's favorite new artists..." - Bonnieraitt.com
Sarah Siskind is seen as one of today's most eclectic songwriters with songs covered by Alison Krauss, Randy Travis, Bon Iver, the Infamous Stringdusters, April Verch and more. Krauss has released two of Siskind's songs as singles, and in 2008 her rendition of Siskind's "Simple Love" was nominated for a Grammy.
In 2009, Sarah stepped into the spotlight with her own album, Say it Louder. Bonnie Raitt calls it "a masterpiece" and indie-rock sensation Bon Iver, who often covers Siskind's material live, proclaims "Sarah's music changed my life." Additionally, the title track "Say it Louder" has been featured on several NPR programs, including the ever-popular “All Songs Considered.”
“[Sarah Siskind is] one of the best and most arresting voices in Nashville’s Americana and pop community.”— the Nashville Scene
Travis Book is a member of the acoustic-powerhouse group, The Infamous Stringdusters, with whom he has already seen great success in the bluegrass world as winners of IBMA’s “Emerging Artist of the Year“, “Album of the Year“, and “Song of the Year” in 2007. Book is a native Coloradan, transplanted in Nashville, and as a matter of fact he and Siskind were married in 2008.
